Our Cheeses

We are one of New Zealand’s smallest artisanal cheese makers and we have a regular stable of around 15 cheeses, but our size allows us to experiment a great deal.

The benefit for our customers is that we have some wonderful and exciting hand crafted cheeses that are rustic and delicious and very different from the ‘normal fare’ on offer elsewhere

To truly appreciate our difference, we recommend that you visit us at our outlet shop or come to the local Farmers Markets to try our delicious and genuinely different cheeses for yourself. Due to our small size and hands on methods, is not practical for us to have all the cheeses listed below in stock at any one time, but we try to have at least seven varieties available each week.

Cheese List 
Brie The stunning classic, sold young, so you can have it how you like it.
Mt Pirongia Creamy, mild washed rind, slightly funky and sweet.
Danish Cream A Cloudy Mountain classic, semisoft, creamy and tangy.
Embers Camembert with salt ash and smoked paprika centre, tasty and beautiful.
Farmers Fetish Cows milk feta style, marinated in jars of rosemary infused oil.
Joie A good old fashioned mushroomy camembert.
Kaipaki Trappist style wash rind, pungent, yeasty and decadent.
The Bogan Washed with dark ale, creamy with sweet and malty notes.
Pedro Latin style semi firm, with a sexy aroma and complex savoury flavour.
Farmhouse Blue Very rustic blue camembert style, mild to the palate.
Mangapiko A rustic semisoft with a savoury taste, densely creamy texture.
Something Blue Medium strength blue, fruity and earthy.
Waipa Blue Both tasty enough for the hardcore, mild enough for the scaredycats, yum.
Tilly German/Dutch semi soft style,with cummin seeds, buttery and savoury.
